Humanitarian Scholarship (Student Assistant)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Willing to work in an office set-up Monday to Saturday from 8:30AM - 5:00PM

  • Assist an SPC employee to their work

  • Maintain an average of at least 80% or higher during the semester

  • You will be excused in the office during your class hours

Grant

  • 100% discount on basic tuition fee, and cash allowance every 15th and 30th day of the month

Academic Scholarship

It aims to help students achieve the highest possible level of knowledge and training. To motivate students who can excel in their academic performances through an honor's program. This program also aims to improve the student's capabilities and competitiveness.

I. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF SPC SCHOLARS

Section 1. General Responsibilities of Scholarship Grant Recipients:

1.1 Satisfy the criteria and requirements of the scholarship.

1.2 SPC Scholars inform their department of any changes relative to the scholarships (e.g. reduction of class load, withdrawal, change of class schedule, etc.)

1.3 Thank the donor of a privately funded scholarship. The Scholarship Coordinator will provide the appropriate address.

1.4 Respond in a timely correspondence from the SPC Scholarship Coordinator or the private scholarship donor for additional information or requests to attend functions, such as ceremonies and assemblies related to the scholarship program. Student must keep current their address and phone number with the Registrar’s Office to avoid communication delay.

1.5 Promptly inform the SPC Scholarship Coordinator and SPC OSA receipt of other non-affiliated or outside scholarships assistance or a major alleviation of family economic status.

Section 2. Basic Function of Working Scholars (Student Assistant)

2.1 Perform a variety of clerical duties, which may involve filing, tabulations and calculations, tracking, and checking forms

2.2 Receive telephone messages and relay calls and messages to appropriate co- workers.

2.3 Receive, log, sort, distribute incoming mail, out-going mail and interoffice mail.

2.4 Operate a variety of office machines such as telephone, copier, and personal computer utilizing word processing and spreadsheet.

2.5 Perform related work as required.

Section 3. Tasks not to be performed by a Student Assistant

3.1 Personal errands of an office staff, administrator, and/or faculty such as buying food, getting one’s salary or any form of remuneration, getting pay slip, ATM withdrawal, etc.

3.2 Tasks that are part of the basic duties and responsibilities of a faculty as well as an office staff and an administrator with a teaching load.

3.3 Any errand that requires her/him to go off campus, unless accompanied by an SPC employee.
